We're Southcoast Lasersmith, a small family business built on a love of making things, a commitment to quality, and the belief that a truly great gift or branded piece should feel as personal as it looks.

Southcoast Lasersmith didn't start with a business plan. It started with curiosity. David has always been the kind of person who builds things, fixes things, and tinkers until he figures something out. Woodworking, machines, building things from scratch—it's always been his language. When he came across laser engraving, it just clicked. The precision, the versatility, the ability to take a material and make it mean something—it fit everything he was already drawn to.

He started with a Thunder laser, learned the craft, and kept going. A fiber laser followed. Then a UV printer. Each addition wasn't just a new machine—it was a new set of possibilities for what we could create and who we could help.

As the business grew, his wife Crystal stepped in naturally, the way things happen when you're building something together. She handles customer relationships, back-end operations, and the business side that keeps everything running smoothly. David brings the craft. Crystal brings the structure.

Crystal will tell you that everyone has a story. At Southcoast, we get to help people tell theirs.

As for the name: we're based in Sandwich on Cape Cod, but we never wanted to be boxed in. The Southcoast of Massachusetts stretches beyond the Cape, and “Southcoast” travels well—wherever there's water, it makes sense. It's a name that gives us room to grow while staying true to where we're from.

We work with businesses of all kinds—from branded corporate gifts and recognition awards to signage and promotional pieces—and with individuals marking the moments that matter.

Every order, regardless of size, gets the same attention. David designs and finishes each piece himself. Crystal makes sure every customer feels looked after. That's not a selling point. That's just how we operate.
